    Well, those of us who like prudence or no debt will know after the budget which way we are going to go with our vote, wont we? In his hands lies I suspect the fate of this government... might seem simplistic but political memories amongst the electroate are akin to that of a goldfish. This might well be remembered.

    I think that's absolutely right - though it would be fairly alarming if a sitting Government was judged on the basis of a nice pre-Election income tax cut rather than its track record over the course of the parliament...
